Working Certifications (Polarhundprøve, etc.)

Validation Requirements

  • The event must be held as part of an officially recognized race, under the supervision of a judge.
  • The dog or team must finish the race in good condition, with an average that meets the criteria.
  • The veterinarian or judge present certifies that the test was passed.

The Value of the Polarhundprøve for Working Dogs

  • Passing a test grants access to the "Working Class" exhibition.
  • Three successful tests over two seasons open up the possibility of earning the title of Work Champion.

This official recognition proves that the dog is not just a show dog, but that it also possesses its original Nordic traits: endurance, sturdiness, a willingness to pull, and a team spirit

Our Philosophy

At Fire on Fire, we consider the Polarhundprøve an essential step for any dog intended for breeding. It ensures a well-balanced breeding program, where beauty and working ability go hand in hand, and where the Samoyed remains true to its heritage as a sled dog.

We train our dogs (and those entrusted to us for training) in a gradual and respectful manner, using a tailored training program, to enable them to succeed in these trials under the best possible conditions.
