Samoyeds are at the heart of Fire on Fire’s history. It all began with them, and it is through them that our breeding philosophy has taken shape: to preserve a well-rounded Nordic dog capable of combining beauty, health, character, and working abilities. Our Samoyeds are not just show dogs or family pets. They live north of the Arctic Circle, train as sled dogs, compete in races, and live their daily lives as part of a true pack.
Each of them has its own story, temperament, role in the team, and place in our breeding program. Together, they embody what we look for in a Samoyed: a cheerful, sturdy dog that is close to humans, capable of working and thriving in an active lifestyle.
Thumbelina “Thumby”
The founder of Fire on Fire
Thumbelina is the first Samoyed in our history—the one who started it all. A multiple beauty champion, sled dog, and the founding mother of our bloodline, she embodies the balance we seek: beauty, endurance, loyalty, and gentleness. Today, Thumby has retired from breeding. She continues to live life to the fullest by our side, as an essential member of the pack and the true heart of Fire on Fire.
Tinkerbell “Tinky”
The first Fire on Fire breeding selection
Born at home, from our very first litter between Thumbelina and Moomi, Tinky represents the kennel’s first major breeding selection. Although she has not been shown very often, she has shone at the breed’s most important events, notably winning the titles of Euro Samoyed Hope 2021 in Italy, World Samoyed Meeting Junior Winner 2022 in Slovakia, and World Samoyed Meeting Winner 2025 in Hungary.
Totoro
The Quiet Strength of the Pack
The son of Thumbelina and Vegas, Totoro is from our second litter.
Selected for his even temperament, sturdy build, and working abilities, he plays an important role in our team, particularly in the wheel position.
Totoro is also available for outdoor breeding with tested females.
Skadi
Nordic Energy
Skadi joined our family at the age of two and a half to become part of our sled team. As Tinky’s half-sister through their shared father, Moomi, she brings her energy and determination to the pack. Her name, inspired by the Norse goddess of mountains and hunting, perfectly reflects her personality: lively, powerful, and deeply connected to the world of the North.
